Cai became Barrick's chief financial officer on 1 March 2026, succeeding long-serving CFO Graham Shuttleworth. A Barrick director since 2021, she has more than 20 years of mining-focused experience in equity research, corporate finance, capital markets and M&A, including at Goldman Sachs and CICC.
