Samancor Chrome

Unlisted South African producer founded in 1975 that grew through acquisitions into one of the world's largest integrated ferrochrome producers. It is headquartered in Sandton.

Samancor mines chromite at its Western Chrome Mines near Rustenburg and Eastern Chrome Mines near Steelpoort, and smelts the ore into ferrochrome at plants across South Africa, making it one of the country's largest chrome exporters.
